Discovering Duke Deuce: The Rising Star of Memphis Rap, from 'Yeh' to 'Crunk Ain't Dead

 

Duke Deuce is an American hip-hop artist who specializes in Memphis rap. He was born on May 1, 1992, and began rapping in 2016.

Patavious Lashun Isom, also known by his stage name,  Duke Deuce, is a talented rapper often underrated. He is in Quality Control Music, the same label that represents renowned artists like Migos and Lil Baby.

Duke’s music career started well off, as Duke Nukem, his first studio album, peaked at #3 on the US Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart.

 

Isom sprang to prominence with his hit "Yeh," but his song "Crunk Ain't Dead," which Lil Jon, Juicy J, and Project Pat remixed, garnered him even more attention.

 

On February 19, 2020, Duke Deuce released the song as the lead single from his third mixtape, Memphis Massacre 2. His massive hit “Crunk Ain’t Dead” even obtained widespread internet memes surrounding it.
